WordPress modernization case study

Automotive services, multiple brands and locations, and a large website portfolio.
Technical Audit, Govern Decision Roadmap, multisite, page builders, infrastructure, Security Audit, Delivery and continuous improvement.
SunAuto needed a WordPress foundation that could support long-term growth without repeating the same content, integration and engineering work across a fragmented website estate. Day-to-day delivery had to continue while the platform became easier to govern, extend and operate.
More than 55 websites moved into one governed WordPress platform with domain mapping and centralized administration.
Twig templates and Advanced Custom Fields components reduced repeated implementation across brands and locations.
Locations, services, coupons, brands and other recurring information became centrally managed content models.
Content, configuration and integration updates became reviewable, repeatable and safer to release.
Development, validation, deployment, cache invalidation and health-check workflows were brought into one operating model.
Location data, forms, email delivery, tracking and tire-service integrations were handled through the governed platform.
Most source websites used WordPress across varied builder setups. Those sites were stabilized during transition while reusable content and patterns moved into the centralized platform.
After the first release on new Amazon Web Services infrastructure, the WordPress platform and environment controls received a security audit and remediation review before the new baseline was accepted.
A portfolio-level assessment mapped fragmentation, shared-content opportunities, integration risk, performance constraints, builder dependencies, infrastructure requirements and release controls. The decision sequence then moved the estate toward a centralized multisite, reusable content and components, phased rollout governance and continued improvement.
Modernization retained the business distinctions required by individual brands and locations while moving shared architecture and repeatable behavior into a centrally governed platform.
These are published project-specific results, not universal promises for every WordPress estate.
The published PathToProject case reports more than 55 websites consolidated into the centralized WordPress multisite.
The published case reports Lighthouse scores improving from approximately 40–60 to 80–90+ on relevant pages.
The retained delivery history shows the platform continuing through integrations, performance work, content lifecycle improvements and release governance.
